Which AI models shut down next: a free calendar from Syschecks
If you call an LLM API in production, you have probably been surprised by a model retirement at least once. The notice was in a changelog or a deprecation page you never read, and the first sign was a wave of 404s.
So we built the list we wanted to have: syschecks.com/ai-model-shutdowns.
What is on it
- Announced shutdown dates from ten providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Mistral, xAI, Cohere and Groq. Right now that is over 130 models.
- The replacement the vendor recommends, next to each model.
- Days left, sorted so the next shutdown is on top.
- A link to the source for every row: the vendor’s own deprecation page. Nothing is guessed.
- The sources are checked every six hours, and the page warns when a provider’s data may be out of date.
Get it where you already look
- Atom feed: feed.atom for your reader or a Slack RSS app.
- iCal: calendar.ics, so the shutdown dates show up in your team calendar.
Reading the list and the feeds is free and needs no account.
Alerts for the models you use
With a free Syschecks account you pick the models you depend on and get an alert 90, 30 and 7 days before each one shuts down, by email, Slack, Teams or any other channel you already use for monitoring.
If a provider is missing or a date looks wrong, tell me and I will fix the source.
